Belgian government will no longer partially reimburse postal costs from 2027
From 1 January 2027, the Belgian government will no longer partially reimburse postal costs. This means that, from then on, you will pay the full rate for sending periodicals.
Rates 2027
Below you will find the rates applied by Bpost from 1 January 2027 onwards. These are the costs per item sent.
Addressed periodicals, D + 3:
*Large+: for mailings containing a non-foldable premium, such as a pen.
How will we limit the impact on your mailing budget?
We are aware that this change will have a significant impact on the cost of your mailings. That is why we are putting extra focus on two areas:
- Continuous evaluation of campaign results
We closely monitor the results of every mailing. This gives us an increasingly clear view of which campaigns generate sufficient returns to justify their cost. Where necessary, we of course adjust our approach. The goal: to maximise the return on your mailing budget. - Smarter targeting
With a new generation of selection models, we are refining our targeting. This allows us to contact fewer donors and prospects while generating the same income for your organisation.
